THE PERMANENCE PERIOD IN THE COLOSSEUM IS 90 MINUTES, as stated in the Visitors Regulation of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum (art. 1, paragraph 4)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS PERMITTED PER VISIT: 8<\/p>\n

The ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entrance<\/strong>: either from the Colosseum or from the Roman Forum-Palatine area
\nYou can book the entrance time to the Colosseum and decide whether to visit the Roman Forum, the Palatine and the Imperial Fora earlier or later<\/strong><\/p>\n

Purchasable online starting from 30 DAYS<\/strong> before the date of the visit.<\/p>\n

Valid 2 consecutive DAYS for ONLY one entrance<\/strong> to the Colosseum only at the time booked<\/strong> and\/or the day before or the day after for ONLY one entrance<\/strong> to the area of the Roman Forum, Palatine, Imperial Fora, SUPER Sites.<\/p>\n

For accredited tour guides with Pass, it is necessary to book the entrance online.<\/p>\n

The visit is open to all and barrier-free up to the intermediate gallery, which can be walked through its entire length; access to the third order is possible with a dedicated hoist.
\nThe visit to the attic, on the other hand, remains possible only by climbing steep steps.<\/p>\n

A five-stage educational path has been set up along the new route with panels in Italian and English illustrating the highest levels of the Colosseum’s cavea:<\/p>\n

1) The gallery between the 2nd and 3rd levels
\n2) The water management system
\n3) The tituli picti<\/em> i.e. symbols, drawings and inscriptions made with red traces on travertine blocks
\n4) The 3rd level
\n5) The levels above the 3rd level (the attic)<\/p>\n

The panels are accompanied by drawings and prints by Luigi Canina, conserved at the Biblioteca Casanatense.
\nOn the occasion of the opening to the public, the intermediate gallery has been equipped with a lighting system that not only creates a very evocative setting, but also enhances some original portions of the white and red plaster coatings in which traces of the ancient and more recent occupations are still visible.<\/p>\n
