L\u2019invenzione delle grottesche<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong>\u00a0(<strong>Raphael and the Domus Aurea. The invention of grotesques)<\/strong>\u00a0will open its doors to the public online, where visitors will be able to view the evocative spaces of Nero\u2019s residence in a brand-new light. The day-long event <strong>starts at 12:30<\/strong> and gives viewers the chance to take part in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/maratonaraffaello\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#MaratonaRaffaello<\/a><\/strong><strong>\u00a0event<\/strong> from home with <strong>previews of the exhibition spaces<\/strong> and exclusive access to the architecture and ornamentation of the <strong>Domus Aurea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>One after another, the posts in the event\u2019s discussion will help guests rediscover the relationship between <strong>Renaissance painting and Roman painting<\/strong>, through virtual reconstructions, reinterpretations and comparisons between some of leading figures in Italian art history.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook event will allow viewers to get right into the heart of the exhibition \u2014 <strong>curated by Vincenzo Farinella with Stefano Borghini and Alessandro D\u2019Alessio<\/strong>, promoted by the Parco archeologico del Colosseo and sponsored by Electa \u2014 with the goal of telling the exceptional story of the <strong>rediscovery of ancient painting buried in the \u201cgrottos\u201d of Nero\u2019s original Domus Aurea<\/strong>.
