Starting 24 April, on @parcocolosseo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not just art, history and poetry: the <strong>Parco archeologico del Colosseo<\/strong> is opening up to <strong>music<\/strong>. With support from a media partnership with <strong>RAI Radio2<\/strong>, we\u2019re pleased to present the <strong>web series \u201cStar Walks: when the PArCo meets music\u201d<\/strong>. The new programming contains <strong>7 episodes<\/strong> split into two distinct series: the first, scheduled to air between April and May, and shot prior to the Italian government\u2019s coronavirus decree, will be released on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCp1G517hecvSuC4nvGNOHVQ\"><strong><u>PArCo\u2019s YouTube channel<\/u><\/strong><\/a> starting at <strong>6 PM<\/strong> next <strong>Friday, 24 April<\/strong>, with <strong>bonus content and extras across all @parcocolosseo and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Radio2VRT\/\"><u>Radio2<\/u><\/a> social media channels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In each episode, musicians let their emotions take the lead as they stroll down paths through the PArCo made especially for the series. Affinities and personal associations come to the surface as the artists are interviewed by <strong>Radio 2 commentators<\/strong> and accompanied by <strong>PArCo archaeologists<\/strong>, leading up to the highlight of many episodes, the <strong>live session<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To kick off the first series of Star Walks, the band <strong>Zen Circus<\/strong> will be our guests for the first episode, entitled, \u201c<strong>The Zen Domus<\/strong>\u201d: together with the band, this first episode also features the <strong>Domus Flavia and the Domus Augustana<\/strong> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/area\/the-palatine\/\"><u>Palatine<\/u><\/a>, location of the imperial palace, with breath-taking views over the valley of the Circus Maximus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our date with the second artist<\/strong>, who\u2019ll take us for a walk starting at the slopes of the Palatine, is set for <strong>8 May<\/strong>, at the foot of the remains of the <strong>Claudian Aqueduct<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>the Parco archeologico del Colosseo is opening up to music.
