The Parco archeologico del Colosseo meets the city\u2019s museums \u2014 fifth and final date on 12 December with the Museo delle Civilt\u00e0 presented by Filippo Maria Gambari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beginning Thursday <strong>7 November<\/strong> in the Curia Iulia in the Roman Forum, visitors are invited to the new conference series <strong>OLTRE il centro. <\/strong><strong>Il Parco archeologico del Colosseo incontra i musei della citt\u00e0<\/strong> (<strong>BEYOND the center. <\/strong><strong>The Parco archeologico del Colosseo meets the city\u2019s museums<\/strong>) \u2014 designed by Giulia Giovanetti and Federica Rinaldi \u2014 which aims to promote the PArCo as meeting place between <strong>city center and greater urban area<\/strong> and as a space to tell the stories of the city\u2019s museums.<\/p>\n<p>The series comes as part of the \u201c<strong>PArCo outside the PArCo<\/strong>\u201d project organized by the Communications Service, awarded the <strong>European Heritage Brand of the Year <\/strong>2018-2019, with the objective of promoting the PArCo not only as a tourist attraction in the city\u2019s monumental heart but also as a <strong>space of dialogue with the cultural realities that exist outside the PArCo and outside the city center.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fifth and final date is set for Thursday, 12 December, at 16:30 in the Curia Iulia:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Museo delle Civilt\u00e0 \u2013 MuCiv<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Filippo Maria Gambari<\/em>, museum director (Mibact)<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Museo delle Civilt\u00e0<\/strong> is comprised of the <strong>\u201cLuigi Pigorini\u201d Museum of Prehistory and Ethnography<\/strong> and the <strong>Museum of the Early Middle Ages<\/strong>, and conserves some exceptional artifacts of ethnological, anthropological and archaeological interest dating from prehistory to the middle ages.
