Award ceremony for the ideas competition, 7 January 2020 \u2014 Curia Iulia in the Roman Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 7 January 2020, in the beautiful location of the Roman Senate, to mark the inauguration of the <strong>new school year for the<\/strong> <strong>\u201cSapienza\u201d University of Rome\u2019s Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio (SSBAP)<\/strong>, the Director of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo <strong>Alfonsina Russo<\/strong> will deliver a <strong>prolusion<\/strong> starting at 10:00, following an introduction by Director of the SSBAP <strong>Alessandro Viscogliosi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In her prolusion, the director Alfonsina Russo will underline the importance of combining the <strong>conservation<\/strong> of archaeological sites with necessary instances of <strong>restoration<\/strong> but also <strong>development<\/strong> and therefore <strong>fruition<\/strong> to best restore monuments\u2019 original meaning without altering the signs accrued over the passage of time. Ample space will then be given to the <strong>collaboration<\/strong> between the PArCo and the SSBAP regarding the excavations and restoration work carried out in several areas of the Palatine.<\/p>\n<p>Following the director\u2019s introduction, the <strong>ideas competition<\/strong> will be presented, reserved for SSBAP students.
