Alessandro Haber reads Gabriele Tinti\u2019s \u201cApollo e gli ultimi poeti\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To mark the anniversary of the Palatine Temple\u2019s <em>dedicatio <\/em>rituals, the <strong>Palatine Museum<\/strong> welcomes actor <strong>Alessandro Haber<\/strong> as he reads a selection of poetry by the author and poet <strong>Gabriele Tinti<\/strong>, inspired by the fresco with Apollo playing the cithara and by the statue of Apollo Citharoedus by the sculptor Skopas.<\/p>\n<p>The temple was dedicated on <strong>9 October 28 BC<\/strong> and incorporated into the House of Augustus, helping to \u2018confuse\u2019 \u2014 in the original sense of the word, that is to \u2018mingle together\u2019 \u2014 public worship and private residence, thereby anticipating a new golden age after the dark cloud of the civil wars. Inside the temple \u2014 as noted by Pliny, <em>Naturalis historia<\/em>, XXXVI, 25 and Propertius, II, 31 \u2014 stood a colossal statue of Apollo Citharoedus, made by the sculptor Skopas and possibly originating from the sanctuary of Apollo at Rhamnous, in Attica. The temple would in fact later be defined <em>Ramnusius<\/em> in the regionary catalogues.
