From June 7 to July 3, 2018 the Basilica of Maxentius was prepared for the \u201cFestival of Literatures 2018\u201d. In this way the Basilica was returned to the citizens in the evening, every Tuesday and Thursday, with free access, on the occasion of the festival evenings. This year’s theme was: \u201cThe Ins and Outs of Language.\u201d A reflection on the arbitrariness and ambiguity of words, and on the many and multiple meanings, sometimes even contradictory, that they have. On the platform, 32 Italian and foreign authors followed each other. In keeping with a well-established tradition, each of them read an unpublished text written and inspired by the festival theme.<\/p>\n
