{"id":55193,"date":"2026-04-24T11:51:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T09:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=55193"},"modified":"2026-04-24T11:51:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T09:51:15","slug":"free-admission-to-mark-italys-liberation-day-from-nazi-occupation-and-fascism-25-april","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/event\/free-admission-to-mark-italys-liberation-day-from-nazi-occupation-and-fascism-25-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Free admission to mark Italy\u2019s Liberation Day from Nazi occupation and fascism | 25 April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SATURDAY 25 APRIL 2026<\/strong>, to mark <strong>Italy\u2019s Liberation Day from Nazi occupation and fascism<\/strong>, admission to the Colosseum Archaeological Park is free, with the following visiting options:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Route <a href=\"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/tickets\/24h-colosseum-roman-forum-and-palatine\/\">Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine<\/a>\u00a0a single visit to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine<\/li>\n<li>Route <a href=\"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/tickets\/forum-pass-super-ticket\/\">Forum Pass<\/a> to visit the Imperial Fora, the Roman Forum and the Palatine in a single visit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tickets can be obtained, in order of arrival, <strong>at\u00a0the ticket office in Piazza del Colosseo, located near the Temple of Venus and Rome, and at the ticket office in Largo della Salara Vecchia.<\/strong><br \/>\nDuring the Free Sundays the <a href=\"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/support-and-participate\/membership\/\">Membership Card<\/a> and Roma Pass holders will also be able to collect their free tickets at the ticket office, in order of arrival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tickets will be valid on Saturday 25 APRIL 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The permanent section of the exhibition event <a href=\"https:\/\/colosseo.it\/en\/event\/giacomo-boni-the-dawn-of-modernity-the-exhibition-widespread-between-the-palatine-and-the-roman-forum-opens-on-15-december\/\"><strong>&#8220;Giacomo Boni. The dawn of modernity&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will be open at <strong>the Santa Maria Nova complex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU CAN VISIT:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine<\/li>\n<li>in the Roman Forum Museum at the Santa Maria Nova complex the permanent section of the exhibition event &#8216;Giacomo Boni. The Dawn of Modernity&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">WHAT WILL REMAIN CLOSED:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For conservation reasons, and in compliance with the restrictions on free Sundays, <strong>it will not be possible<\/strong> to enter to the panoramic elevator and upper levels nor to the arena and underground areas of the Colosseum, the Farnese Aviaries, the Ninfeo della Pioggia, the Temple of Romulus, the Curia Iulia, the Horrea Piperataria or the SUPER sites of the Roman Forum-Palatine (House of Augustus, House of Livia, Santa Maria Antiqua, Oratory of the Forty Martyrs, Aula Isiaca with Loggia Mattei, Palatine Museum).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Domus Aurea is not part of the initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>THE DOMUS TIBERIANA WILL BE OPEN AND FULLY ACCESSIBLE.
