On September 19th, the Director of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, Alfonsina Russo, presented its program for 2018–2019. In this two–year period, the Park will be focusing on certain key macro-objectives: protecting and preserving the heritage, strengthening its close ties with the city and citizens of Rome, affirming its visual and general identity, while at the same time becoming increasingly a place of participation and sharing for all communities. Finally, it will continue to expand its cultural offerings with the opening of new areas and routes.
On the occasion, the renovated Curia Iulia was inaugurated. After the recent restoration and redesign curated by the architect Maria Grazia Filetici, who equipped it with new lighting and modern projection equipment, the Curia is again accessible to the public and Roman citizens as a conference hall and venue for temporary exhibitions.
