Colosseum: visit route altered for new exhibition
From the 22nd of November 2023 for one month the visit route in the second level of the Colosseum will proceed from the eastern front (Stern buttress, lifts area) to the northern front (final showcases of the permanent exhibition “The Colosseum tells its story” and Baby Pit Stop – changing area) and then it will come to a halt.
It will therefore be necessary to turn back in order to access the external ambulatory, which can be fully accessed along the whole southern front, with exit and descent from the staircase on the western front (Valadier terrace area – bookshop).
The temporary interruption of the route will allow work to be carried out on a new exhibition that will take place from December and continue into 2024.
