In order to allow the work of the conference ‘The Fortune of Trajan’s Column. The tale of a symbol’, the Curia Iulia will be closed to the public on Monday 22 April 2024. On the same day, the Roman Forum Museum will be closed from 11 am to 4 pm.

From Monday 15 April 2024 the exit of the Archaeological Park towards Via del Foro Romano will be temporarily closed to allow for some works. We apologise for the inconvenience and will announce the reopening date as soon as possible.

On Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the exit of the Archaeological Park at the Basilica of Maxentius will be closed to allow for some work as part of the monument’s restoration site. The exit will be reactivated again on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

In the afternoon of Thursday 4 April 2024 the Roman Forum Museum will close early at 16.30 The Museum will reopen regularly on Friday 5 April 2024.

The first part of the maintenance work on the Palatine Museum has been completed: the ground floor is once again open to the public. Work on the first floor will continue for a few days. We will give updates on the complete reopening on this site and on the institutional social media channels.
