Extraordinary opening 1st January 2024
On Monday 1 January 2024 the Colosseum Archaeological Park will be open to the public
Opening hours: 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
Last entrance at 3.30 pm
Tickets available online and at the ticket offices open in Piazza del Colosseo and Largo della Salara Vecchia.
For preservation reasons, and therefore in observance of the quota, it will not be possible to enter the Colosseum at the panoramic lift and the upper levels, nor the sectors of the arena and the hypogea at the Colosseum, nor the exhibition “La Colonna Traiana. The tale of a symbol’.
For the same reason the Farnese Bird Houses, the Nymphaeum of the Rain, the Temple of Romulus, the Curia Iulia, the SUPER sites (House of Augustus, Santa Maria Antiqua, Aula Isiaca with Loggia Mattei, Palatine Museum) and the Domus Tiberiana will remain closed between the Roman Forum and the Palatine.
The Domus Aurea will be closed to the public.
