On the occasion of the Rome Marathon, scheduled for Sunday 16 March 2025, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo will be open.

The start will take place at 8.30 am from Via dei Fori Imperiali at the Visitor Center.

The Metro B Colosseum stop will be closed; visitors are invited to consult the website https://www.atac.roma.it/ for updates on the reopening.

The organisers have ensured that there will be adequate gates and crossings to allow visitors to reach the monuments and archaeological areas.
The Parco archeologico del Colosseo has no role in the organisation of the event and declines all responsibility should circumstances arise that prevent the entrances from being reached.
