The slopes of the Palatine are officially in the running to win the title of “Progetto ArtBonus dell’anno — 2020” (“ArtBonus project of the year — 2020”): until 12:00 on 7 January 2020, the voting is open for the Farnese Aviaries lighting project, in the area of the Horti Farnesiani, as best ArtBonus project of the year.

After the exhibition “The Palatine and its secret garden”, the restoration of the Nymphaeum of the Rain and of the Farnese Aviaries, the new project constitutes an essential step forward in the development and renewal of the oldest botanical gardens in the western world, created in 1550 by the architect Girolamo Rainaldi on commission from cardinal Alessandro Farnese.

The PArCo’s project, made possible with the sponsorship of Acea, will allow for the renewal of an area of great architectural and botanical value, while the installation of high efficiency, energy-saving devices means that the public will be able to enjoy the newly lit spaces in a way that is completely environmentally sustainable.

Those wishing to show their support for the project will be able to cast three votes: one on the site www.concorsoartbonus.it, and two on the @ArtBonus Facebook and Instagram accounts, where visitors can vote on the posts regarding the Horti Farnesiani project.

The first ten users to vote for the top ten projects will be eligible to win ArtBonus prizes.

The companies and sponsors backing the winning projects will have the pride of supporting projects enjoyed and appreciated by the public that protect our cultural Heritage.
