The month of December at the Parco archeologico del Colosseo is full of events! The days leading up to Christmas will be marked by three dates for families: the inauguration of the Colosseum Nativity, the kids’ workshop “Make your own label” and a Christmas story told by the Teatro Mobile theatre group.

“Carthago Tuesdays” will continue with a study day on Phoenician-Punic Sicily and the inauguration of the photography show “Carthage ou la mémoire des pierres”, on display inside the Imperial Ramp.

The Curia Iulia will host the third of the “Discussions about fashion — EPHIMERA”, with Alessandro Michele, and the last date in our “BEYOND the center” conference series, with the director of the MuCiv — Museo delle Civilità, Filippo Maria Gambari. Within the walls of the old Roman Senate, visitors are invited to the workshop “Roman Forum: discoveries from excavations past and present”, where speakers will present the results of the decades-long multidisciplinary project that has given birth to the rediscovery of the Roman Forum and of the area’s main monuments and archaeological contexts.

As the new year draws closer, the PArCo will present its 2020 Development Plan to the public, which will continue to include events geared towards inclusivity and accessibility for all visitors. The final events of 2019 will include the celebration of International Migrants Day and the Park-in-PArCo art therapy workshop at the Palatine Museum.
